VENTURE TO SOUTH KOREA - a year later
PHOTOGALLERY

It has been exactly one year, since the Dudok Ensemble ventured through South Korea. Little did we know. The world has changed. Back then, we could never have imagined the state we all are in right know. Covid-19 struck the world and made it impossible to gather with our audience and enjoy music the way we love to. And that makes the memory of the Dudok Ensemble South Korea Tour 2019 even more special.

We think of our friends back in South Korea. Die Deutsche gemeinde, dr. Sooil Chai in Kyongdong Church, Seoul. Agnes Agterberg and the lovely people of the Dutch Embassy. Of course Minji Kim and Mrs. Lee from Busan. And Su-One Park, our man in Daegu. Our thoughts are with all the people who gave us a warm welcome and enjoyed the St.Matthew Passion in Seoul, Busan and Daegu. We hope you are safe and healthy.

We also think of Johan Rooze, our artistic leader, who had to stay home in Daegu this year. And of all our soloists who, all of a sudden, had an empty schedule in what would have been the busiest time of the year. Last but not least, we think of our fellow Dudok SIngers and Musicians. We miss that special moment together in De Duif on Saturday before Easter.

To celebrate music and to cherish the memory of the concert we gave on April 10th 2019 in the magnificent Beomeo Cathedral, we offer you this video registration. Let's enjoy Bach's St.Matthew Passion together. Each of us in their own home.

Stay safe. Happy Easter.
